I have a friend who is interested in purchasing Pokie Magic games, but does not, and never will, connect to the internet. Does this present a problem with registration??

greg you need internet acces to validate the registration codes ....UNLESS.......how far away does he live from you?? you could have him bring his box around your house, validate them and then he can play them fine at home. of course unless admin has any other ideas, but i guess what i said is always an option.

Thanks Ann, and hi for tonight. My friend objects to the Internet on some sort of moral grounds. His right, I guess. Strange, but his right anyway. I can always convince his wife to let me have access to the computer whilst he is at work... *grin*.

I hope Admin can give me some information, cause my friend cannot even be emailed....of course. Naturally, this isn't urgent, as I know Admin is seriously busy moving!!!

well there ya go...just go to his house and use your dial up internet connection (if you have dial up, as you can use your account, settings, password etc on any computer) on his puter to validate the games then remove all your tracks so he has no idea you had his puter online ROTF

Yup...and get shot, burned at the stake, quartered and hung!!!!! Might just be worth it, at that. *grin*

Will see what Admin says when he returns. Thanks though.

Unfortunately, and primarily due to people selling our games at flea markets without permission, we don't have any plans to introduce "offline activation". I know to some people the reasoning is difficult to understand, but there are too many people who would take advantage of the situation.

Fair enough...and welcome back Admin.

I had a feeling it might be something like that, but I figgured it had to be asked.
