View Full Version : Something to try??!!

We have decided to try something different.
Say, for example, we decide to put $20 thru the pokies. Instead of heading for the club, we put the $20 aside and play $20 worth of Pokie Magic credits (at a 100 to 1 ratio, gives us 2000 Pokie Magic credits...same as a 1 cent machine in real life). If we lose, the $20 goes on a bill (after all, with real pokies we would have lost it for good). If we win, we can spend the $20 on something special for us.
That way we get the "thrill" of gambling real money without actually losing any real money.

oh...and this is just us...nobody else invited, nobody else plays except the two of us!!
I know Admin is concerned about Pokie Magic being used for real gambling, so thought I would throw that in!! /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif
I think that is a novel idea Greg, nice way to get some things for yourselves. Do you play together at the same time?

Yup. Both sit in front of the computer and take it in turns spinning. No double-ups allowed until we have over $50, and even then only for pays of less than $10!!!
Of course, I play a LOT more than Kim does, but it does seem to work for us.

I think that your idea is excellent, because either way, whether the money goes on a bill or a treat, it still doesn't go down the yawning maw of a real pokie.
There are plenty of regional Pokie Barons out there (especially in SA so I hear) with their Electric Empires designed to remove all excess cash from your pockets.

LOL. Try Canberra. The pokie barons are excessive here!!
Our idea won't work for a lot of people (after all, we cannot get the big real cash payout) but it sure stop us losing as much.

Hello Laurie, that is so true, unfortunately........... /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dollareyes.gif /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dollareyes.gif /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dollareyes.gif /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/16help.gif

The only way to win on the pokies is to stay away from
the real ones. Once I purchased Coral Cash and a couple of the other programs,
myself and others in my house simply stopped going to the clubs and casinos - no bull.
We owe a lot to the Pokie Magic team who have saved us a small fortune ! Have not been
to a club in over 6 months. It now scares me what we fed down the mouths of those machines.
A success story you might say ! /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/16lol.gif

i have not yet been strong enough to give the real pokies up completely i go once a week but when i do go i still spend heaps but the difference getting pokie magic games has been less television in the house which is good and more getting on internet and learning about how to install programs etc, even though i think the computer is overloaded with plenty of rubbish. Does anyone know how to get rid of unwanted programs other than to recycle bin etc

Dionss, depending on which version of Windows you are using
open up your control panel and use the add/remove programs
button. Should do the trick for you. Follow the prompts. I
don't think the trash bin actually properly removes the
programs.
