2004 Version Games

[Admin1]

The 2004 editions of all games are now becoming available from http://www.pokiemagic.com/downloads.php - the page shows the current version status of each game.

Users not in the highscores system do not need to download the new versions. Users of the Special Edition games should download them regardless of their highscores status.

There are significant changes to the underlying game engine which may cause some problems, please advise if you experience trouble with any games.

Other changes:
Bankers Bullion 5 & 6 - your bank balance may now reach a maximum of $12,000, up from $6,000.

Highland Fling 5 & 6 - the automatic feature selector now chooses realistic features.

All games - the highscores fanfare is gone, replaced by the highscores icon in the menu bar.

Each game should also now display its own icon in the taskbar when running instead of the old generic green icon.

Would you suggest that I delete all my old versions of the games and do a big clean-up of pokie magic stuff (i.e. RegEdit, etc) and then load the new games on OR is this download just to go over the older versions??

Hi Admin, downloaded all the games and all went well with the exception of MT5&6 which downloaded okay but when I enter the registration code, says "Unable to reach registration server, please contact support". I tried several times but nothing! The code worked fine previously! /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Also DD6SE seemed to download fine but when I try to open it, it says "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor". "POKIEMAGICDD6REELSSE caused an invalid page fault in module...". I deleted it and downloaded it a couple of times but still nothing... No problem with any of the six DD games Admin, either in registration or running.

Just a quick one about the DD SE 5 reel icons, Admin.

They do appear to be distorted. Unlike DD SE 6 reel, the 5 reel is stretched in the horizontal.

I can get you a screenshot if you like.

Other than that, going well so far, have registered about 1/2 of them.

Problem with Golden Dragon 5 reel, Admin, which I suspect may be restricted to me alone.

I double click on the icon, nothing happens....or rather, I get the hourglass icon to show a program is starting up...then nothing. It just stops.

Task Manager shows PokieMagicGD.exe starting up, then just closing down again.

Installed the game to the default directory, have tried removing and reinstalling without success.

Got the feature, was up to 1,049,020 credits. For the very last spin, got a double your credits Santa.

It didnt register on the high score at all (I now have credits of 2,098,040 but a high score of 1,049,020).

Hi Admin, in LS6 the multiplier icon which tells you how much your free spins are multiplied by shows up on the last reel during the actual free spins... has happened a couple of times.

Hi Admin, I've been trying to work out why I can't get CF5 or DD6SE to open up. I looked in the folders and found that there are some files missing from both of them. The Screenshots folder and a couple of other files. I copied them from CF6 & DD5SE and was able to open CF5, so I played that to test it... it worked fine. I closed it to try DD6SE but that still wouldn't open, same message as before. When I tried opening CF5 again, it wouldn't open.

Also, CF5 downloaded at 3002KB when it should be 2950KB and DD6SE downloaded at 3532KB when it should be 3535KB. Any suggestions as to what I could do? /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

The game will create folders and files as required, but only if it starts successfully. There is no cause for concern just because files appear to be missing.

Your DD6SE problem is still not replicated elsewhere, so all we can recommend for now is to install to a completely different location and see if it makes a difference.

Don't be concerned if the filesizes don't quite match the site, there is a little bit of work to be done on matching the filesizes exactly.

I've now downloaded CF5 & DD6SE into another location. DD6SE won't open, gives the same message "...performed an illegal operation...". I was able to open CF5 a couple of times but it now gives the same message again. I'm at a loss as to what else I can do.

With Bunny Bucks, it will happen every time. There is a bug in the feature trigger which has been eluding detection since the game was born.

I've noticed that in Bankers Bullion 6 (possibly 5 as well) that after a feature finishes spinning the feature icons come up over the spin screen and then won't allow play to continue so game needs to be shut down. the downloads went extremely well no problems except with my slow slow game which improves when you play it in the window whilst surfing the net that is ED special edition, oh well I guess I am not really meant to play this one... I am having HUGE problems with Bankers Bullion 6. I have been playing it heaps and went to play it today and it has TOTALLY crashed my computer (even to the stage whereby CONT-ALT-DEL doesn't even work and I have to pull the power cord to disconnect everything).

Can you tell me what the best thing to do is!!

Peta, I just had a similar problem running Highland Fling 5 reel.

You dont need to pull the power cord. You do need to press the reset button on the front of the computer though.

Hi Peta, it may not be the game doing it necessarily because that's happened to on some of my work computers and nothing I did would turn them off except taking the plug out of the socket. Don't know why it did it but as I said it happened on a couple of different computers at different companies and that was the only way to get them going again. One of the things I thought it could be was overloading the computer with a number of screens open at once and moving from one to the other and back again too quickly. Admin.... Have only noticed 2 problems so far (other than the slow reel speed still on se games)...
SS 5 & 6 = Still has the problem where no bonus is given after the prezzie drops down.
LS 6 = The first spin after it selects how many free games and at what multiplier, the last reel still has a +1 symbol appear for a spin or two.

A small glitch on CF6... I noticed that in the Golden Grape feature the Golden Grape appeared on reel 6. It didn't stretch itself onto all the lines as the middle ones do though.

FYI Admin, in LS6 not only does the symbol which represents how much your game is multiplied by come up on the 6th reel but at times there's also just an empty space when the free spins are spinning.
