HELP

Help please I have just downloaded Merlins Gold then clicked on where I d/l to followed instructions but the game is not showing up in program files with the others and the only places I can find it is where I d/l and win expl oh and my desktop has gone blue. Could someone tell me what has happened and how to fix it in very simple terms please

Admin, I had a similar install problem to Tanya...when I installed the directory in Start>Programs came up empty AND no desktop icon was installed.

I did it all manually, but it may be worth noting.

I didn't change the default installation path, but I did change the default shortcut path to "Pokie Magic Merlins Gold" from the plain "Pokie Magic".

Thanks for your posts everyone on the icon issue. The problem actually is that we used punctuation (a /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif in the icon name, and this makes it not work. Merlins Gold release 4 will be out soon.

so here i have been all day mucking about on my puter trying to find out why merlin was not working alas now I know...
So do I now wait for another e-mail for merlin to work??

/webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/15GDAY.gif Hi there L. Don't know whether you have read the other post about this that is lurking somewhere around or not, but here goes. You could try this. You can open the Merlin Gold folder, where it downloaded to on your computer and in that folder there is a .exe file with a green circle and a yellow lightning flash going through it. Just left click on this and hold the button down and drag it down to your task bar. That will then be your shortcut. Hope this helps you out till Admin can sort it out. Thats about the limit to my help I'm sorry.

Or you could go to the Merlins gold folder and Right-click that small green cirle with the lightning bolt through it and create a shortcut. Then just cut and paste the shortcut to wherever you want to put it. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

OR...go to the folder where you installed the game, select the .exe file, rightclick on it and use the "Send To>Desktop" to put an icon on your desktop.

Lots of ways to do it....pick your favourite

just wanted to let you know the hearts desire game i downloaded the newest version and when i get three hearts it does not do anything at all Help

If you check the Game Updates forum, you will see this problem has been specifically addressed with a new version of Hearts Desire (and all other games have been updated too).
