Avatar Problem

Admin helppppppppppppp!!!
It wont let me change my avatar /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif i tried to upload a diff one and smaller in size and all it keeps doing is shrinking the avatar i already had there!
I know my new one is under the 80 x 80 requirements and i also optimized it reducing the colours so that its under 15000 bytes.... it accepts my pic and doesnt say its too big or anything but then when i check its still the old avatar only its shrunk to the size of the one i was trying to put up.

Ann just before I go off. I too have that problem, and I dont know the official reason or solution, but I just clear out my cookies and then have another go and it works. I think though you have gotten it in there. He is a little rudie. What is the word????? /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wavey.gif

When trying to change my avatar i have received the following error message. Does anyone know what this means

Yeah I have that trouble too. I have to clear out my cookies then try again..maybe that will help..

Yeah by your error message it looks to me, like sue mentioned, looks like possibly a wrong file type.
But yeah i had that prob once and sue told me to clear my cookies and it worked.......BUT make sure you manually clear your cookies and doing it by your browser screen often doesnt clear them out entirely.

Can you advise how to manually do this. I only know
how to do this in the browser.

Ok go into your c drive, then windows, then cookies and go into the cookies folder, select all and hit delete /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Sometimes it helps to also manually delete your internet temp folder too as the browser way never deletes them fuly either.

Well I cant change mine either and now look what it has done to my Pyramid. Made it smaller. I did all the other stuff, no good. Maybe tomorrow. Who knows...

Sue i had to upload my new avatar, then logout! Then go delete all your cookies and temp internet files manually, then log back in. Try that it worked for me otherwise is must be the web site experiencing tech problems.

Greetings I have tried all the suggestions about clearing
cookies etc with no luck. Still getting the error message

What we are investigating is where the instruction to change it the first place originated.

confess it was probably Sue sabotaging the system. She didn't want me to change my avatar before you got back
online. She was facinated with the squirrel !

Yes Sue I cannot get any other one to work. Too
