View Full Version : Different Style of game

Hi, Have you guys ever considered writing a game based around the new "Reel Power" philosophy. Basically, if you haven't heard of Reel Power, you play reels rather than lines. Basically every symbol is scattered but only on the reels you have payed for. If you haven't payed for a reel you only get the middle position on that reel. To actually activate scattered wins for features and the like they have to be scattered on the first 3 reels. It is a good philosophy and many of the newer real machines are coming out in this style. For example, "Pompei", "Choy Sun Doa" and "Whale Cash" by Aristocrat.
This is just a suggestion that I feel would maybe widen the scope of your game styles. By the way, I really enjoy your 6 and 7 reel games and your 4 row games.
Thank you

I'm sorry I just realised that this should have been in the suggestions section so I thought I should add to it and give a suggestion for a new game. How about a game using your regular symbols A,J,K,Q,10,9 and then use a whole heap of car badges. The number of free games won could be decided by selecting a car and then generating a race and your place would determine the number of free games. I have written a demo of this type of pokie machine if anyone would like to have a look... the only thing is the race isn't quite implemented yet so it's just free spins. Thank you.

I am not entirely sure about the "correctness" of pushing ones own product on the forum for another, better developed, very similar product.
However, Admin has presumably read the message and not said anything, so I guess it is up to him to take action if he thinks it warranted.

Hi,
I'm not actually pushing my own product. I only made this demo to show the idea. It's not a quality program. It is just basically something that I thought up that pokiemagic could really work miracles with and I thought that making a rough demo of what I meant would convey my idea a little better to them.

Ah. This was not clear from your previous post, where you invited anyone (I believe I am correct in this) to have a look, not just the Pokie Magic team.
Friendly suggestion (and no, not a demand, nor a threat *grin*): By all means, if you have an idea for a game that you think the Pokie Magic team might be interested in, then post the details.
However, I would keep the development of a "demo" of such a program off the forum, as it could be taken as an attempt to attract attention away from the very good Pokie Magic games....and using their forum to do this is "bad form", to quote James Hook.
You could always advise Pokie Magic via a private message or an email regarding a demo product that you think they may be interested in.
I would also point out to you the proprietry (is that how you spell it) rights regarding this forum. To this end, I would advise reading the latest Pokie Magic Newsletter, in particular the "Forums Explained" section.

Please, do continue to post your ideas and suggestions, they can help to make the Pokie Magic games much better.

hi, I'm very sorry about my lack of etiquette regarding these matters but to be honest I really haven't been using forums for very long. this is only my 6th or 7th post. I do apologize greatly to the pokie magic team because i love their games and i would not try to do anything to threaten what they do... please accept this as my most sincere apology.
Jamie.

jamie i just played your demo and i think that the pokie magic team maybe can pick up on this idea.although the tyre tread is a bit hard on the eyes i like the game.it was fun watching the car race.im not so sure about the the car icons and their copyrights but the concept of the game is great as any pokie to me is fun.
well that is just my 2 cents worth anyway. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

thanks for you good review. i'm not sure about the car icons myself. just some pictures i found in my sisters pictures folders. and i do realise the tyre tread is not good but like i say, its just to convey my concept to the crew at pokie magic, nothing more. Thank you for your post.
