Admin, is there any chance that, along with the last 10 odd numbers that have been winners in Roulette, it could also show the last 10 you have selected???

May be an unnecessary alteration, was just interested.

I ask because I rekon quite alot of people find that getting a decent ranking in a game is really hard now. Before, those of us trailing behind could leave our games running for hours and hours to hopefully get a higher score, However with roulette coming in there is no point doing that now, the only hope of getting a #1 is constantly sitting in front of the game and utilising the roulette function /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Personally im just finding it a lil more frustrating and also has greatly reduced the amount i play the games for the purpose of highscores (as there is no point leaving them running while your out of the room and also because instead of running 6-8 games at a time, i now only run 1-2 as its too full on having to click around all over many screens stopping the autoplay so that i can use the roulette at the end of the feature).
Dont get me wrong...i love the roulette, great inclusion and makes the scores more interesting, but would be nice if not all the games end up with it. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Adam, is there any chance at all that Roulette could be restricted to, say, the SE versions only?

I find I am not playing the newer versions of games because right now I dont have time to sit and pick numbers on my roulette wheels....and unless I have that time, I have absolutely no chance of getting even close to a high score.

I agree with Greg on that. I also dont have the time to play as much anymore. I find the roulette takes away from the games a bit as its not solely the feature for a highscore. Thats just my opinion though.

I would have to agree too....it's really not fair on those players who do NOT have much luck with ROULETTE and therefore unable to get anywhere near the high scores.
Also, it can be off-putting...in other words the players will simply not bother anymore...this is what a few people I know have said too!! I had invited them over for a look...and guess what? they said "NOT FAIR"! They also said REMOVE the ROULETTE, DOUBLE, TRIPLE and see how the high scorers like it! Just bear in mind that I am being straight with you and the game makers.

The safes are NOT adding up properly and the thief is NOT deducting your score or whatever!!!

My Thoughts.. I agree with you on this one... I can sit here all day and nearly have the hang of it BUT have to think of all who want to participate in the HS competition, and who just havn't the time to sit and play roulette.. if you look at my graph.. you will see those games affected by roulette I leave till I have the time to sit and concentrate..the enormous scores you can get on roulette also make it hard to better ones own personal score thus I feel reluctant to go back and sit and try to beat it again.. I do enjoy the frustration of the wheel, and as you said too many variables to be added as auto pick.. So my vote would be to leave the roulette scores from the high score system or have a seperate scoring system.. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/HMMSMI~19.GIF5 cents worth there /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I would personally vote for one of three options:

1. Restrict the Roulette so that it contributes to High Scores, but only in SE versions. 5 and 6 Reel versions would not have it.

2. Take the Roulette out of the High Scores altogether.

3. Take the Roulette out of the individual games and just use the online one.(that has been proposed??

Having voted originally for including Roulette gambling towards High Scores, I must admit I didnt think it through fully.

The option mentioned by Julie of having a separate scoring system would put a huge burden on PM, so I wasnt going to agree to that one.

Of course, they are your games, Admin, this is just my 2 cents worth (after inflation, probably about $60.00 worth /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Well have read all the thoughts here and decided to add mine too..I usually try not too..but thought why not...

I am in favour of the roulette wheel being in the high scores..and yes it is frustrating, but hey as a roulette player in the casino's "thats roulette" for you...
For me it has given me a chance of trying to keep up with the players that are using more than one computer and other players that have worked out some tricks of the trade..I can understand some of you guys not liking it because you have to sit there and play the game...but isnt that what these games are designed for..correct me if I'm wrong please..

I suggested having the roulette as an auto feature because like everyone else I can't always be at my computer but as it wasn't viable I was happy to play it manually. We all had a chance to have a say about it back then but noone seemed too unhappy about the idea but now that some people are getting higher scores than others it's becoming an issue. I personally don't play the roulette games 24/7 despite what some people may think but I happen to be lucky with the nos I pick. I don't play the double or triple feature because it doesn't make a difference to my ranking, so if roulette isn't going to count towards highscores, then the enjoyment of having it will be diminished. If the online roulette feature goes ahead then being without it on the offline games might be okay.

The highscores are always going to be an issue because as people pointed out, some people have computers that can play a high volume of games, some with 2 computers, so for those that can only play 2 or 3 games at once (which used to be me) you are always going to be behind, roulette or not /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

We are now leaning towards keeping the roulette, but barring any 35:1 pay from contributing, ie 3:1 would be the max odds.

The roulette does mean we have to put a fair bit more time into actually sitting and playing the games though...I understand that it isnt always possible to do that, but hey it isnt possible for me to run 30 games on 2 computers either...In my opinion it levels the playing field so that us little players have at least some chance against those that can load up 2 computers..I am not whinging about that fact either, I know its in the rules and so be it..

The comment mentioned before about players not "bothering to play" because of the roulette wheel is just the opposite for me. At least this has given me a chance to compete, rather than just plod along knowing I dont stand a chance of competing against those that load up. And there would be others who may only say play one hour per day but still like to post scores to see where they are in comparison to others.
