Avatar and profile picture sizes are now limited to 80x80 pixels and 18kb per image, down from 60kb per image.

On a side note, linking to our forums images from other sites is not permitted, for obvious reasons. There are some images presently being linked to. These images will be changed shortly to very large advertisements for PM.com which should stop the linking.

As noted by some users, the old forums accepted 100x100 avatar pictures. We will amend the avatar sizing to 100x100 here as well. Reasonable sizes like this keep page load times acceptable for all users, and keep the server less busy. A less busy server means more maxicash, Cash Grab (coming soon!), Keno players etc online at one time.

The 100 pixel avatar restriction is now in effect, up from 80 pixels, down from unlimited.

It looks as though the problem is now fixed - thanks to advice from Vbulletin, makers of the forums software.
