I am just wondering about the rest of you, on average only, about how long would you spend playing Pokie Magic games (or the real ones) in a week say or daily even. I usually only get in about 1/2 hour per day and mostly that is playing Coral Cash.

It varies for me. When I'm at work, anything up to 3 or 4 hours a day....mainly with the game running on autopilot and me checking in every few minutes to keep up.

At home, about an hour a day.

Real Pokies....about 2 hours every fortnight.

I know I have asked this same question differently before, but given you play 2 hours a fortnight on real ones now, what was the time played on real ones before Pokie Magic?

It varied depending on finances...minimum of four hours a fortnight, often as much as 10 hours a fortnight

now, now, Spyone1 that '10hrs a fortnight' did include some pretty hairy 12hr straight stints on the occasions the suckers were paying out. he he.

How much time? Hey do you want to get me into trouble with the other half? Hmmmmmmm

Touche, Dragon. I was thinking of recent times....

Earlier in our career we did indeed have many 12 hour stints. Of course, finances these days don't allow... /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hey me thinks there could be a story or two here Greg?

/webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Not likely, Sue. The good Dragon and I know each other in real life....indeed, Dragon is one of my best friends. We have, in the past, spent many a night (or day, if it comes to that) gambling away our hard-earned...and even winning on occasion.
This was in the days before marriage, children and other such impediments to free spending.

Yeah thats life hey. Still reckon Dragon might have some dirt, but thats ok. We wont dig.

Hey Dragon do you still play the "suckers" that much.

Not as much as I used to. I'm a little like Greg.....supposedly reformed. We still escape some nights for a bit of a go, but time seems to be just as big a factor at the moment as $. As far as dirt goes (in relation to pokies He He) I think the funniest thing that ever happened was seeing Gregs reaction to his first $100 winning spin. A nice blend of stupified-mortification with a dash of "what do you mean $100?"

Nice one Greg /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

As a uni student in 1995 I took $7 into the Townsville casino and was playing a five line old style stepper motor slot with three levels of jackpots.

A casino attendant came over and said "What are you doing?" I thought I was in trouble, probably because of my dress standard /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It turns out I had won the major ($10,000) jackpot but kept right on playing (was paying more attention to the machine next door). They paid me out in $100 notes and off I went. Happy days. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What Dragon fails to mention is that it was the first time I had EVER played a poker machine and had no idea what to look for. My comments were along the lines of.... "$100?" "Where?" "How?"
From memory, I got three safes on the middle line.

As for money wins....again from my aging and failing memory, our (Dragon and I) biggest NON-LINK, NON-FEATURE win was $628 off one 15 cent bet....no doubling or gambling, straight out win. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The memory is aging, it was four safes.

Just so long as it paid you Greg, that is the main thing. I myself dont have any good wins to report about, at least not on the pokies. I was one of the plebs who donated on a regular basis.
