New versions of Tuts Treasure games are ready:

http://www.pokiemagic.com/downloads.php

Changes:
-> F7 will now kill a feature completely, not just the current round.
-> Handy help/menu buttons added to main game screen.
-> Optimisation of graphics routines to run on lower specced machines.

You can install over the top - but if you do remember to restart the game once after first reinstalling or nothing will pay out.

Highscores from older versions will be removed, only these versions will be able to submit new scores.

Games are playing OK. Highscore didn't alter on Tuts 5. PROBLEM. After playing any of the Tuts games, and quitting to go back to the desktop, I just get a black desktop with the buttons to start the last game I played visible. When I click anywhere on the desktop, all the game icons reappear. Also, the game options window is now mandatory whan opening the game. Can't go into the options and turn it off.

downloaded, all fine but tuts five didnt go back to create a new high score, the other games did.

Have reset all my games, one showed "1" game played, but they all seem ok, just haven't had many "high" scores yet... I'm sure that roulette should average about 1 in 38 for a payout... I guess if one plays enough games that the average should appear ? hehehehehehe

Cheers, Peter...

Downloaded the new versions of Tuts and now FF & TT no longer have scores showing again. Tried Shift F9 but to no avail.

Downloaded and started up the new tuts versions. After seeing your post, went back and checked funpark and totem games. The scores are there, so problem has not repeated itself here.

A week ago, I had a problem with the previous tut versions right after I downloaded them causing funpark and totem scores to disappear. Then admin posted the response below which was tried and worked.

"Chuck have you tried shutting down all those games you have running, then start Tut5 do the SHIFT+F9 and restart it?"

Good luck.

If the restart of the game doesn't work, try restarting your pc. I recall restarting the pc but didn't associate that as much as just having no other games running.

The reason you need to shut the other games off, is that they have their own internal record of how the information 'shared' between games should be. If they find another game has tampered with it, they notice and may instantly choose to 'fix' it and thereby break your new game milliseconds after you fixed it.

Yvonnne and others, the 5 reel reset was unfortunately not carried out properly. Please blame the resident 4 pawed wolf.

Sades, the problem is only occurring because of multiple games running - newer versions will be able to detect and correct - but they're not due as yet.

If you reboot, then do the SHIFT+F9 before starting any other games, it should work.

Tried doing that a few times but it didn't work. I'll just wait until the next round of games. Thanks for your help.

Just realized the scoring problem has occurred with the bunny money games as well. Hadn't noticed since had not been running them while focusing on the funpark and totem scoring thing.

Question, since the difficulty seems to affect the scoring and only a few games, funpark, totem and bunny money, why aren't the other games affected when multiple games are running?

Assume the way the scores are displayed has something to do with it in the problem games. Why can't the way the scores are displayed be made the same as in the unaffected games?

Oops... the malady has spread. Just found that the safari slots games were affected, but in a slightly different way. Win scores show up, but nothing is showing on the top high score line - for current high score:ANGRY1~15, that is. The game history shows zeroes everywhere. :ANGRY1~15

Not going to happen Chuck, new games work completely differently.

It would probably be best for you to consider reformatting and reinstalling Windows.

ooooo'er - now that's drastic...
Just wonder if there is some service pack issue or MS update that may be causing his grief.. I'll assume that he's done the standard checks on "direct x", "vid drivers" etc.... Off on a side tangent - adware/spyware/virus possibility ?

Cheers, Peter...

Q. Do the games have many "hooks" in the registry ? Possible that the uninstall isn't doing a clean remove, or perhaps there are still exisiting files in the system that the prog. points to....

The advice given is the best Peter. All Windows based systems need reformatting eventually.

Id advise the same, I had these problems with the same games chuck and sades mentioned and no problems since a reformatt.

The only problem I have with that is why? Of concern is that the problem can certainly happen again. Just am not happy with the thought of having to do the reformatting periodically.. in other words fix the source of the problem rather than the symptom.

You need to talk to Microsoft in that case :3rofl3::3rofl3::3rofl3:

I posted a comment up in the "support section" under funpark update yesterday about these sorts of problems

You may need to purchase a Mac... I hear they multitask a lot better than pc's :16wink:

I have a theory on this problem, which may not be right and Im not testing it just yet till I need to do another reformatt, but seeing the problem is only effecting 3 players that we know of, who all have above average computers, I asked myself why are we having this problem when 99.9% of other players weren't. I reformatted .. then admin gave us the fix.. and Ive never needed to use it so far, games are running perfect.

The analogy would be, drive a car sedately and you're unlikely to have too many problems, try driving 8 or 9 cars at once, or driving one car 9 times faster than standard design allows for and you can expect strange things to occur.

But it only affects a few of the cars, indicating something different about those few.. that should be solvable. Previous post indicated an auto fix of somekind, guess will have to wait for that like Sades said and just get by without playing the affected games. Sorry - reformatting for a unique problem where everything else that is used on the pc is okay just doesn't ring true.

We're not going to argue the point Chuck, you're free to reformat or not, as you choose. Its your pc.

There's always the prospect of going back to Win2k... now there's a great multitasking OS :thumb:

however no good for gaming :lmaoblue::lmaoblue::lmaoblue::lmaoblue:

In all honesty Chuck the best advise is

A. do a complete reformat
B. reload from scratch your favourite OS ( I prefer XP Pro SP2)
C. do all your favourite tweaks/settings etc
D. load your prefered proggies etc etc
E. When your totally happy with it use either Ghost10 or Acronis True Image
and get a half decent image of that system/ burn to DVD, then if you do have further problems, you can get back on track within minutes not hrs

I'm afraid "system restore" wont do the trick..... sounds like your current OS is :censored:

Like Kit I have a no frills computer... I can run two or maybe three games at a time but I don't as I like to do others things as well.... Two games max is for me.. otherwise the games run slow... I am happy with this......I do have a problem from time to time... but hey that is life.. you get on with it and fix the problem... I would dearly love to have a computer that is new and faster etc but I need to win lotto to do that...... so I will sit here and play my games and try and get a highscore No 1 of course......

My games are working fine now. Don't know exactly why but changed resolution on computer then changed it back then opened Tuts 5 and pressed Shift F9 to repair. Opened Bunny Money 5 and tried to repair but wouldn't work, so I opened Bunny Money 6 and did the repair and it worked. Didn't have to reformat. I don't know if it will for you Chuck but it's worth a try.

Don't know where else to post this but I have to say that since the old game updates, some of the games have stopped paying out. I know that some have improved considerably but there's at least 3 games which have gone backwards in pays... LS6SE, GD6SE & CF6SE... hardly pay anything over $80,000. Is there a reason for this because it's taken the pleasure out of playing them.

Admin

You sure you're betting enough Sades, payouts in those games weren't altered much, if at all.
