:15GDAY: What are everybody's hobbies? Most long term Pokie Magic members may know quite a lot about other members, but a few new comers may not know so much. I am one of those. I have finally got some more free time so I can spend more time on these forums like I have wanted to do since I first joined, it's a great friendly community :16wink:

I'll get the ball rolling.. these will be in priority order or close to:

1. Driving. I love to drive, variety of vehicles, and I drive Trucks for work

2. Internet. I cannot live without this either, in many ways. It's a great form of keeping in contact with friends, best source for any information, and of course, media downloading and searching for mood rising funnies. Last but definitely not least, Pokie Magic games and highscores!

3. Music. Cannot live without this. I've recently broadened my music range and listen to some good oldies, and a lot of new stuff.

4. Tenpin Bowling. I've bowled for 10 years now, have won a couple of championships back in my junior days, and I've worked at bowling alleys as a machine technician for 2 years. I've just got back into bowling in a highly competitive league, and just pushed my average up to 190 and loving it.

5. Movies. I've found myself lately, relaxing quite a lot, and rekindled my interest of watching movies. Latest favourites would be Ladder 49 and the new movie out Find Me Guilty.

6. Computers/Technology. I've been a keen computer user since I was in grade 5 back in 1992. Since then I've learnt a lot, and now I build my own systems, customize them, and I'm called upon by all my family and mates to fix their issues. Yay. Haha. I have spent quite a bit of money on making my ultimate computer workstation at home. Now having 2 PC's and a new laptop, I've finally made time to sit back and enjoy what I have.

7. Theatre. With my new job in Theatre, I've acquired a new interest here. Yet to see my first home show tho. :16wink:

8. Could list more, but the usual stuff can be added here. I enjoy my food and eating out, enjoy drinking a few beers here and there, once a fortnight or so, and going out on the town with mates.

Wow that's a pretty large post. Keen to hear from a few members and getting to know everyone :thumb:

Gee Kym you have thrown up a doozy here and by the reply posts, it seems that members have many varied interests/hobbies to fill any spare time they may have.

As a single parent (with a now 12 yr old son) it doesn't feel as though I have any of that precious commodity, but I must and to my knowledge I will try to enlighten you (without any pork pies):

1). Computer/Internet/Games: I have combined all three initially as they go han in hand with me, I am given some great sites off the forum and before long you'll find me hang'n ten at Maroubra with a Wieless laptop, games are almost 2nd nature to me, apart from maintenance I can't remember when I have deliberatelty turned the Internet off or for that matter my PC, lucky they don't cost much to run and having Unlimited ADSL was a must for me or they would have had the sherrifs after me ages ago;

2). My sons, Mitchel at home, my eldest boy (29) who has given me two beautiful grandkids (Ashleigh and Benjamin) and my toddler, who is living with someone else, he is now 5, and due to indiscretions by my former wife, he isn't allowed to live with me and Mitchel, but we see him regularly and I am organising certain things through the adoption court, couldn't have asked for a more loving couple as 2nd parents, Jenny and Branko do a far better job than his mother each and every day, he also has 15 acres to ride his little PeeWee bike around on. (Branko taught him very well).
:!cid_08c0 :!cid_08c0 :!cid_08c0 what a blessing they are, something that gives our own lives some perspective, although we may shed a tear every now and then because things don'tr go our way, they always work out for the best, Karma, universal alignment or whatever, the right thing seems to be done by the forces of nature,    but especially with children it doesn't always feel the best.

3). Hobby or chore, they run neck and neck with this one and that is my insatiable need to have a clean and tidy House, I stopped for Perfection about 20 years ago when by myself, in my own place I finally realized that you can't get everything done exactly as you wish it to be, like :banghead: :banghead: hitting your head against a brick wall, time after time until something clicked within and I started to reach for my own personal, which happened to increase time after time, until I am now at a point where I am quite content :8cloud9: :8cloud9: an d could ask mfor nothing more as I wouldn't get it anyway.

The rst would be the same as all others but the ones I have named are the ones I spend the most time on, thanks everybody for listening to the ramblings of a sentimental old fool.

The pc and all to do with Pokie Magic has jostled into number one possie for me. Other passion is art and sculpture. Love painting, especially portraits. Have lots of my daubs hanging around the place:D
Watching TV docs about art, artists, museums and collectables will drag me away from the puter.:lmaoblue:

My hobbies include :

1. Rock 'n' Roll dancing. I don't get much dancing in now with a three year old son, but I used to love it. Can also do alot of variations such as jive, boogie woogie, lindy hop, cha cha, rhumba, swing etc.

2. The computer. Not just the internet and Pokie Magic, but the building and formatting and proving my uncle wrong in regards to problems.

3. Fishing. We have some great rivers around here (ie the Mitta and Kiewa) which are great for trout. Love to spin and just wade along. Haven't quite grasped fly fishing yet. I sometimes go to Tathra with some friends & spend a week fishing the warf. I'm not much good at the sea fishing, however I provide great entertainment when I get an octopus, as I have had them chase me on the warf!

4. Collecting stamps, postcards and international currancy. I have let this hobby go over that last few years. Just finding it too hard to keep up with now.

Well, that's about if from me...

And yes, who here could live without Pokie Magic! It's kept me from spending many $'s in real life.. and the variety of games here now is great.

well even though I am a realtive newbie here I thought I would share..

1, I am a mum to a 6 & 3 YO so they keep me busy, the 6 yo does karate which I one day may take up. So I am a chauffer.

2, I love to read, mostly Stephen King and Dean Koontz ( horror) but am quiet macabre in the fact I love watching & reading true crime. CI on foxtel is my fav channel.

3, I used to love doing calligraphy, but then bub #2 come along so I have put it down for a while, but I will go back to it as I want to write and frame The Man from Snowy River.

4, I love the saisfaction of a clean house.

5, before kids and even before hubby my first :heartbeat was a 15 hand chocolate quarter horse, who could do dressage and show jumping. I would love to own a horse again one day. She died about 4 years ago of old age..

6 Sodoku is becoming a favourite now.:heartbeat

7 and finally I must add pokie magic games.
