Now that Big Brother is over for another year (Congratulations Jamie!!!), next Sunday Australian Idol starts:dance:   :Feest30: :Feest30: :Feest30: :Feest30:

As usual, the season will start off with the best of the worst singers who have auditioned:lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: Essential viewing for all wannabes who know they have no talent:D :D :D :D

Must admit Katina, I am not an Australian Idol stickler, but do always catch the auditioning section from most of the Capital Cities, at sometimes it is hilarious, at other times absolutely atrocious, but those wannabes have been given false information for quite sometime leading up to the event, being told how good they were and wanting to believe it so much, that it becomes a reality to them, and they make complete gigs of themselves. :14clap: :14clap: :14clap: :14clap:

I remember American Idol a couple of years ago where this Part Asian, part Hawaiin performed and it was that bad he became a cult figure, I reckon he still thinks he can sing. Obviously honesty is the best policy, especially ih those circumstances. :MISSIN~18

Essential viewing for all wannabes who know they have no talent

hmmmm - I'd think the the "wannabees" believe that they actually have talent.....In reality, that's as close as they'll get to stardom..

Cheers, Peter..

Josh from Tasmania who gets up to the final cut is pretty good "wannabe"(I Work with his mother).

I feel embarassed for quite a few contestants    , you'd think they'd have at least one good friend who'd be honest enough to tell them that they are going to make a gig of themselves in front of National TV with a least a million people watching, :( :( :( .

Thank God I've got a few friends who'd tell me to wake up from the delusion I was in :jab: :jab: , even though shattering a dream is bad, shattering a delusion is good, as it is based on false ideas and would lead to a life of Therapy,  living in the real world is so much more advantageous than dream land :whistle3: :whistle3: :whistle3: :whistle3: .

I don't know about friends, my mother told me as a wee child that I can not sing, It's TRUE:Feest30: I can't sing for the life of me, I can't whistle either:lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: I do know some people who have auditioned, who have a good voice, no charisma at all.:lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue:

there are some people out there that dont know how to sing but how can you walk up to them and say you really cant sing they would turn around and tell you to go away:):):)

Michael@ton
03-08-2006, 01:13 PM
So what!!! At least you are trying to help that person and save them from ambarassinsg themselves, in what could be in front of an audience of millions, they'd never live it down, unless they live with the pixies.

Michael@ton
03-08-2006, 01:17 PM
I was referring to people you know reasonably well, some-one that you might call a friend, if it were a total stranger, I'd advise to have a hunkj of steak ready to put on your blackened eye. LOL LOL!!!!!

Kitkat
03-08-2006, 04:20 PM
some audition as a joke and couldn't care less if they made it too the next round or not - others however do believe they are talented. Is it wrong for the Judges to be so harsh on them????

To have dreams is to have hope:8cloud9: :8cloud9: :8cloud9: :8cloud9: , and the Judges should be a bit more tackful in shattering that dream.

Michael@ton

I don't know what Katina is singing, but my redition of "LOLA" is unbeatable, I've been practising since about 1970, Lola's my mum's name, I couldn't understsnd why it was a cult song at Clifton Gardens Pub, on the clifftops on the coast road to the 'Gong, little knowing it wasn't a "normal' pub.

auditioned of course!!! Melbourne competition is cr*p:14hah: :14hah:

Please don't do one of his songs Kat, you may or may not have the throaty tones that Chris produces from HIS voice, but don't tell anyone as you'd cop a pounding deserved or not, :bangy: :bangy: :bangy: :bangy: , in fact I could be talking to the next Aussie Idol, GO KATINA or whomever you may be, I still like you and wish you the absolute best, give me a nod and I take care of Kyle for the night, :shoota: :shoota: , accidently of course, :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue:.

By the way Paul, I was a year off, they hold the Census in Australia every FIVE (5) YEARS, that is straight from the horse's mouth. As soon as he heard about it Little Johnny was on the email in a flash saying something about how he had to spend these billions of dollars on the Census every FIVE (5) years or it would vanish, and he wasn't about to let that happen.. :R_DEVI~11 :R_DEVI~11 :R_DEVI~11 it would have gone straight into his Sludge Fund. Go Little Johnny. :16bunny: :16bunny: :16bunny: :16bunny: :16bunny: :16bunny: .

Katina, if you are rejected someone in the crowd will be throwing the best rejection reaction, so show them what you've got and warn them that the rejection reaction wouldn't be fit for TV anyway; 110% behind you gal, You go for it, :w7: :w7: .

that bobby and lisa cant sing for ****. Klancie deserved to go tonight. I like Lavina..but Dean ( cute) will probably win with the teeny bopper vote. Chris has a great voice but his look wont appeal. Ricky is cute also so he has an outside chance. Jessica is a little power house but too young

just my 3 cents..

Have to agree with you Sandi I thought the hairy one would go myself, but as you say its down to the teeny boppers and their votes.. then we will get a one hit wonder again... as their voted in choice..

there are not too many shows I actually watch, anything with criminals or reality...or even a mix of the 2 and I am hooked!! Idol I watch.. I loved ( and still do) Shannon Noll, Guy is great Anthony Callela is wonderful for the nana set.. the girls including Casey and the divas will never set the world on fire. Essentially it is a factory production line and the winner is who can stand the rigours thereof combined with a teeny bopper vote and yes they too will get thier five minutes of fame. Some of the older performers in this year's shows are already established performers now they are being asked to change the essence of what they have possibly done for years. while the young ones will struggle grasping the mere concept of performing. all in all its like a car accident.. cant watch it.. but then cant look away either.. my prediction on the winner is Dean though a real rocked like mutto or Chris would be great but the lack that indefinable 'thing'

:lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: I must be in the Nana range - absolutely love Anthony but can't stand Guy. I'd love for Chris to win, but his image wouldn't suit the pro forma young good looking image, whereas Dean or even Lisa would.

And can you imagine a Irish person winning Australian Idol:spin: :spin: :spin:

sorry not wishing to cast dispersions on your age. except The Prayer I wouldnt know 1 song he sings.

Lisa will not win idol I think she cant sing.. when they sing the group song she mostly mimes or doesn't even bother to try. damien the Irish guy has a wonderful voice but again his looks wont get him over the line..
