Kitkat
13-02-2007, 08:45 PM

13-02-2007, 09:11 PM
a bit of an interesting bunch this year - from what I've read Kate Cebrano has had prior dancing lessons and so has Jamie Durie. A couple of athletes, newsreaders and actors.
Some I've never heard of :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue: :lmaoblue:
And I forgot to mention Farmer Dave from last years Big Brother:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
Dianne W Qld
13-02-2007, 09:27 PM
Well Jamie was the one one that I was interested in seeing....think we might get a bit of a giggle out of Kate...somehow I just cant see her as a dancer...
Kitkat
13-02-2007, 09:30 PM
was good last year with Andrew Gaze, he knew he was hopeless but everyone got a good giggle. Same as Jules Lund on Dancing on ice - didn't take himself seriously and I reckon thats part of making me watch the show:thumb:
Dianne W Qld
13-02-2007, 09:36 PM
yeh even though you know some are not gonna make it very far...they make it interesting by trying their best and they can have a laugh at themselves....all in fun and I guess that's what makes the show worth watching..

Actually thought it a bit strange to have Jamie on there... wasn't there a big uproar cause the chess player had dance lessons???
Lady Bump
21-02-2007, 08:02 AM
That was mentioned.. but like they said...dont think you could class his dance experience as ballroom [id call it strutting his stuff] and it was 15-20 years ago.
Kitkat
21-02-2007, 05:46 PM
Jamie was worth waiting to see:heartbeat :heartbeat but the standard of all the dancers (except perhaps Farmer Dave) was good

Were they actually from your suburb/village Julie, if no-one knew them they might have been ring-ins, as a form of bolstering the Viewers from that part of the Apple Isle,
:15dunno: :15dunno: :15dunno: :15dunno: :15dunno: :15dunno: :15dunno: :15dunno: .
I was employed by a company (to do interviews, about TV shows etc, etc.) and the way they rigged the number of people watching a show was quite ingenious. They only took about every thousandth person to average out the ratings, that was about 15 years ago, other times, they picked out certain families to leave a TV Diary with and they would leave about Half a Dozen Diaries per suburb, something like 1 in 5,000, so when we get a rating period it is pretty approximate. :headscrat :headscrat :headscrat
