Thanks Sue....good to be back...even if I am typing slowly.
1) went base over apex down flight of stairs. didnt realise wrist had broken, too much general pain.
2) same day, used arm to carry 22kg weight thru door, using two fingers on that arm to open the door, the other three to lift the load.
3) same day again, caught 10kg son (he is one on tuesday) as he bailed out of his playpen....with the same arm
4) thought it was sprained, spent 5 days walking around with a basic sprain strapping as the only support..and used it as normal.
5) no details (this IS a family board) but there are some things you do NOT do with a broken wrist.
Anyway, it comes out of plaster on Wednesday 2nd April to be re x-rayed. Then they decide whether to replaster or just bandage....

Wow Greg any tuffer and you'd rust. Stone cold sober when you went down the stairs?
My Hubby broke his and was in a cast for 12 months and 2 operations for bone grafts. A small bone had broken and died and the Doctors missed it. Do take care of it hey.

I hope your hubby is okay now??
Yes is now, that was years ago. Tho that wrist is weaker than the other, but that probably would have been the case anyway.

Could be. My left wrist is broken, and I am incurably right handed, so that left arm is weaker (or less controlled) anyway. The same thing may apply to your hubby.
Can tell you one thing though....I HATE wearing my watch on the wrong arm. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

You could hollow out the top of the cast and embed your watchface there?

LOL
Cast is now off for the moment. It broke!! (Yes, the plaster cast broke!!)
Get x-rayed again on Wednesday, maybe have a new cast then, otherwise let it heal by itself!!
