Does playing Pokie Magic save you money? How much!? How much time do you spend playing Pokie Magic?
I would easily spend nearly $150 a week playing at the local RSL. These days I may visit once a month and spend the odd $20. $130 a month on average in my pocket instead of the govt. btw I like Monster Money the best. Playing on the computer at home is just as good.
The following link shows the amount of money lost by people in just one State in Australia to pokies:

If I lost $200 a week on average I would not be surprised. Ten grand a year.
That was the old days.....now I don't even bother to go out. If those Adelaidians are losing that much money, how much is the whole of Australia putting in the maw of the machines in a year /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I dont have much that I can afford to lose so therefore had to limit my enjoyment for playing the pokies. Now I can play to my hearts content. With no guilty conscience. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Well, the Aussies win at cricket, footy and swimming, why not gambling?

Yay us.
I used to go to the poikes on a daily basis and probably spend abt $300 a week then it got to the stage that I was just shoving all my pay check down the mouth of a pokie machine....I was really bad. BUT since I stumbled across Pokie Magic I am now down to $60 a week......Thank you, Thank you for developing such brilliant games. I hope that there is a LOT more to come. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You read all these horror stories about the amount of money gambled on poker machines or slots. What I would like to know is just much of this money is going into the government coffers?
A really good Question /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I tend to fire up one of the Pokie Magic games when I am downloading (on a dial-up...takes forever) or converting a VCD or something like that.
Usually a couple of hours a day, minimum.

Good to hear Greg! The only thing is: Pokie Magic when running utilises 100% of the CPU especially when spinning the reels.
How does this affect the VCD conversion speed?
Also, do you leave the game on autoplay?

Funnily enough, it doesn't seem to take all the CPU. The VCD conversion (well, from AVI to MPEG really) took about double the normal time when I had Monster Money running in the foreground. (conversion took 2.5 hours instead of 1.3 hours).
I either had autoplay on, or was hitting the enter key for pays or every second spin.
