I hear tell that Casino's have installed a new type of Roulette. Apparently you sit at a monitor and put your money in (similar to a pokie) and then push buttons to select what you want to bet on. Then watch a big screen for the number to come up.
I dont beleive it is going down well with the roulette players, they prefer to see the real ball going around. My guess is that they (Casino's) are wanting to draw some of the pokie players in with a similar set up. Anyone seen these set ups? What do you think?

I have just visited Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia and was surprised by the number of new brands of pokies and the increased variety of games.

Its still cheaper playing Pokie Magic at home though. We have had a laptop set up running Monster Money and Hearts Desire on a Plasma screen and it really does look quite good. The $9000 price tag on the TV makes it a little hard to justify though.

What did you have them up on a tv screen? That would be soooo Coool /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I think that the whole idea of turning table games into electronic video games is crap. Majority of most gamblers would rather play it real and not be left to the mercy of a television screen.

Except, of course, Pokie Magic, which turns money-hungry real pokies into tv-screen (well, monitor screen, in my case) fun times. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We had the plasma tv operating with our games in our local electrical store, and it generated quite a lot of interest.

If anyone else knows of an electrical store willing to display our games running in their store window, please let us know.

Hi Fan

That is true... I have now seen them here as this casino, but you cant get on them. They seem very popular and you dont see any of them vacant, not at night anyway. I havent played them but it just doesnt feel right to play roulette like that.Do you like them?

What a good idea never thought of that, my Mother in law would probably like them too. She has a flutter when she can afford too. So have you got the games already? Which one do you like the best? My favourite is an old one, Coral Cash.

Yes I can relate to that, but you must be luckier than me on them cause I used to just stress more when I was losing money. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hairaiser.gif I would end up walking away feeling worse than when I arrived. /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif If I had a win it was ok, but I am not very lucky on the pokies......

I am pleased you have done something good with your win. Lots of people (me too) just end up putting it all back in the machine.

So you are off on a holiday at Christmas to see your daughter and family, lucky you. That will be lovely to spend Christmas with them. Will any of the rest of your family be there as well?

Oh well it will be nice for you to share it with your daughter and family then. Must be a big day at your place when all your family gets together. 5 kids and their families, I only have 2 kids and they have no partners (permanent ones) as yet. Must be lots of fun and lots of cooking for you...

Not a problem Fan, we know what you are talking about. We all make mistakes in spelling doesnt matter. Christmas must be just great for the littlies in your family when you are all together, so many presents and there would be such a lot of noise and fun. I havent had a big Christmas like that in years, not since my parents sold their business. We used to have all the employees up at Mum and Dads for Christmas Day, it was such a good day.

Whereabouts were you from in the UK, I have only visited there once and I really liked it, but it is different when you are on holidays.

Hey Fan, nice to meet ya /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wavey.gif
So good to see you put your wins to good use, like sue said lots just put it back in the machine thinking they will win the same amount or more next time they play.
When i won my $3000 the very next day i went and paid off my bills and then spoilt my kids rotten /webboard/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I figured seen as it only cost me 3 dollars to win 3000 i had got real lucky and its money i wouldnt have had so why put it back in when i can put a smile on my kids face in the toy store lol
Since i found the games here i rarely play real ones, saved lots money...but when i used to play the real ones it was only ever to kill my boredom, never used to go to try win money it was pure boredom and now thanx to these guys i can kill my boredom right here at home and it dont cost me nothing.
