Have downloaded and tried Egyptian Dreams 2. The new
images are a great improvement over the previous. No
music plays during the feature. Is the feature just free
spins ? Nothing else happens even when 3 pyramids come
up in a feature game.

The feature music seems to have been overlooked and will be corrected in the next upload.

The free spins are very "basic" and are based on what users requested on this board. Any suggestions are most welcome.

Personally I would like to see the old feature with the
new symbols. The game looks very swish now. I guess
majority rules though !

I don't know if you read the help file for ED2 yet, but the more pyramids the higher the pays:

Pokie Magic: Egyptian Dreams II Pharoah Pheature

If you get three or more pyramids in any position on any reel, the Golden Pharoah Feature is awarded.

If you have:
3 Pyramids : you win 10 free games, all pays DOUBLED.
4 Pyramids: you win 20 free games, all pays TRIPLED.
5 Pyramids: you win 35 free games, all pays QUADRUPLED.

The feature cannot be retriggered.

Five pyramids is extremely rare, hence the huge potential payouts.

Even in cheat mode, the game still very rarely pays five pyramids. We once made it pay 15 pyramids, but it did very strange things afterwards.

What we are considering now is adding a bit of a boost similar to what happens in Hearts Desire, ie if you get three or four pyramids, those reels without pyramids on them will respin once to try and improve the number of pyramids prior to the feature actually being triggered.

If you like this idea, here is the place to say.

I am trying to download the game at the moment and it is saying that it will take 43 mins 20 secs to download. Is this right?

It is a 2.6mb file, but the download time largely depends on your connection speeds. 15 minutes would certainly be more typical.

A download manager like getright (see their homepage) (http://www.getright.com) allows you to split the download into several pieces for faster retrieval.

Yes it does ... are you using a 56k modem? If you are then you are connecting through it much more slowly than is possible. There are quite a few possible external variables in the connection equation though.

What speed do you normally connect to the internet at?

Egyptian Dreams II is tied into Egyptian Dreams I. If you have run out of spins on the first game, you will also have run out on the second.

If your download was suspiciously fast, then your browser probably got it from its cache. Try clearing your internet history and doing it again.

It should definitely show version 14.4.6.4 in both the installation program and the game help screen.

If you could retrigger, it could go for ages and ages. I have seen 3 and 4 pyramids inside the feature so often I wish it was the main game instead of the feature.

But i still rekon retriggering free games would be more fun...maybe they should just make that harder to get. I know what your saying i get 3 pyramids up in the feature a good half a dozen times...but maybe take them out so often and have the retrigger option??

or another option rather than being able to retrigger the free spins in the feature is to make it kinda like golden canary or mighty mouse...so that you have a little tally box up top adding up how many pyramids you have gotten and at the end of your spins your total won gets multiplied by the amount of pryamids??? dont get me wrong i love the game anyway, but its just a thought to make it a lil more exciting.

Egyptian Dreams II is the first of our games to make a sound when a feature triggering scatter lands on a reel.

We can easily enough put this sound or similar in every other game, what do you all think?

I like it personally. It means I can set off autoplay when I'm at work and the game will tell me if I have just triggered a feature or not...apart from that blessed loud bell/siren noise that I got into so much trouble for before!!

Are we talking about something like "a small sound for the first scatter, a slightly different pitched sound for the second and a slightly different one again for the third??

A real example I am thinking of is the new Indian Dreaming or the Pompeii one (Vini, Vidi, Vici, we call it).

We varied the frequency by 1000 cycles for each successive scatter, but it didn't work out because we need to program more logic (for example in ED2, a scatter can be triggered on an earlier reel AFTER a later reel during a partial respin, meaning the frequencies would be out of sequence), so we made them a common pitch for now.
