Morning everyone.

Rather overcast here again this morning but a good day to be outside at least I wont get sun stroke:3rofl3:need to go into town this morning to see if I can hunt down some nobs for my posts. rarer than hens teeth locally, so may have to get a wood turner to make me some if luck isnt with me today.
Ive two raspberry's nearly ripe on my canes in the vege shed,:hyper: and Im guarding them with my life:3rofl3:Everything is growing better this year.. i guess the manure has mulched down. tomatoes are trying to push the roof off:3rofl3:

Now I know youre a real handy man lester so what is the correct mixture for linseed oil mixed with turps for soft woods.. it varies from 2:1 to 4:1

Well I can see blue sky outside my window today..yesterday I thought it was fine and said we needed some rain and it was pouring before I went to work..:3rofl3: apparently the clouds were over the other side of the house.. :3rofl3:

Not a lot happenin for me today, just workin workin...might try and hit the shops after work this week and get my granddaughter something for Christmas..will have to send their parcel soon or it wont make it in time for Santa..

A linseed oil finish is rich and glossy, but many applications are required for a good finish. The classic linseed oil finish is a mixture of equal parts of boiled linseed oil and turpentine. There are many variations on the linseed oil finish. One of the best of them is the Mary Roalman finish, which consists of equal parts of boiled linseed oil, turpentine, and natural varnish. Mix the linseed oil finishes several days before you use them. For most pieces, a pint of each ingredient is plenty.
